Coca-Cola Enterprises:
Coca-Cola Enterprises' office furniture was OK. They needed it to be outstanding.
Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) enlisted DeKalb Office and Ideaspan to create a new work environment, with furniture solutions that support collaboration, reflect CCE’s singular cultural branding and feature a strong sustainability story.
In partnership with Ideaspan, DeKalb Office re-imagined CCE’s 8X8 workstations, outfitting them with stacked surfaces and vertically positioned overhead storage units. Users now enjoy a greater sense of space and perceived privacy, with ample room for a guest chair within the footprint. Workstation components have an attractive furniture-like design, boosting visual appeal and employee comfort.
DeKalb Office and Ideaspan’s workspace solution effectively balances user privacy and the sense of openness inherent to CCE’s culture. Sliding doors with marker board surfaces were strategically placed along workspace corridors to provide a fresh way to communicate and modulate privacy. Sliding window screens between users provide ready access to adjacent workstations, allowing instant communication and easy collaboration. |

Stanley, Beaman & Sears
How do you design a furniture solution for an interiors firm? You make it work.
DeKalb Office provided Stanley, Beaman & Sears (SBS), an award-winning Atlanta-based architecture and interiors firm, with a progressive, highly functional system designed for productivity.
DeKalb Office’s Application Specialist Rebecca White based her design work on SBS’ first drawings of workstations with storage built into sheetrock and work surfaces. Rebecca chose Answer components, allowing for a more flexible solution with both fixed and movable work surfaces. Low panels and higher open storage units on each workstation allow for a better sight line and increased storage capability. Rebecca used Answer’s Technology Skin to place data and power connections at work surface height, exactly where they’re needed.
To reflect SBS’ high-tech brand and environment, Rebecca used both ribbed and perforated steel panel skins throughout the design. Custom-sized works surfaces on casters give SBS employees the flexibility to work with over-sized plans easily. Rebecca chose Detail’s single and dual flat screen monitor arms, allowing users fingertip ergonomic adjustability and the freedom to reposition screens without cluttering work areas. |

REES Design Associates:
This high end firm needed custom color, natural light and flexibility. Done.
REES Design Associates, one of Atlanta’s best known architecture firms approached DeKalb Office to create a work environment suitable for REES’ complex needs and sophisticated brand.
We responded by creating attractive, highly functional and comfortable solutions to carry REES into the future. The DeKalb Office team selected Duo shared storage elements do divide workstations, which provide a standing-height work surface perfect for instant collaboration. The Duo units were finished with REES’ custom paint color, accenting the walls enclosing work areas.
DeKalb Office incorporated low height fabric-covered panels to create a barrier-free open environment and allow natural light from exterior window walls into the open office area. The main conference room and several smaller meeting rooms were outfitted with Think, Steelcase's Gold Cradle to Cradle seating. The unique power mechanism and profile back flexors gives the Think chair outstanding support and flexibility, for optimal comfort. |

Conway & Owen
An interior engineered for engineers.
Conway & Owen, a mechanical and electrical engineering firm, enlisted DeKalb Office to create workspaces that felt clean, open, and overtly “high tech.” Our goal was to give engineers an accommodating, technically advanced workplace with strong aesthetics and optimal efficiency.
DeKalb Office chose Steelcase Post and Beam architectural elements, utilizing translucent wall screens to enclose existing case goods and create private office spaces. The screens allow natural light to pass through the private offices into the open office area, giving the entire space an airy and open feel.
DeKalb Office employed 42” “h” counters, the basic building block of Steelcase’s Tour product line, to distribute power and data effectively while providing a raised surface for Dual Bookcase storage units. The units can be placed anywhere on the counter, giving Conway & Owen’s engineers the flexibility to move their storage while creating a sight line variation in the overall design. To define the individual workstations, DeKalb Office used privacy and modesty screens from Steelcase’s Detail product line.
Products in Steelcase’s Tour line are Cradle to Cradle certified and meet the Indoor Quality Certification Standard. Conway & Owen is in the process of obtaining its LEEDS Certification for its new space, and the Tour products provided by DeKalb Office will play a major part in the process. |

A.D.A.M.:
Moving from suburbia to downtown, this IT company wanted an environmental upgrade to match its cultural shift.
In partnership with Veenendaal Cave, DeKalb Office created a workspace high on function and character and low on barriers.
A.D.A.M.’s new facility defines modern design concepts. Private offices do not have doors. Panels dividing work spaces are low and utilize glass to allow visual connectivity and natural lighting across the entire interior.
DeKalb Office’s Applications Specialist Rebecca White developed furniture solutions to suit A.D.A.M.’s progressive interior, with open, collaborative products. Rebecca chose the Answer system, Post and Beam and Duo storage for A.D.A.M’s open office area. For private offices, she utilized EE6 products, incorporating the minimal, cubic design principles that define A.D.A.M’s building. Various Coalesse products were chosen for reception, break room and collaboration areas. |
