DeKalb Office employees voted the company to the No.4 spot (in the medium employer category) in Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2013 Best Places to Work competition!

When the commercial real estate market took a hit in 2009, DeKalb Office utilized the downturn to reinvest in its own headquarters. DeKalb Office turned an analytical eye on themselves to really practice what they are selling. Even though the commercial furniture industry is strongly tied to the real estate market, it’s also linked to changes within the workplace like maximizing the effectiveness of space.

The company took down their high paneled workstations and turned the office headquarters into a “work lab” where work is more visible and collaboration is encouraged through space design. The goal was to create a work environment that helped employees work more efficiently and more happily while utilizing the most up to date technology and furniture products on the market.
